You can also specify if you want your money contributed to a certain mission on the memo line. You can write the name of the missionary that you would like to sponsor, or donate to the “Miskito people.” You can also write “agriculture,” “clean water,” “medicine” or “pastor training” in the memo to contribute to that need specifically. Once we receive your check then we’ll return to you a thank you note and a receipt for your tax write offs, so that you know we received your donation.
· By Text to Give: This is done through your Smartphone and the funds go directly into our bank account. Here’s the steps to make Text to Give donations:
1. Call 877-842-2885.
2. You will be asked to select an amount. Text “GIVE (AMOUNT)”. This text to give process is able to handle any amount.
3. You will be asked to select a designation code. Text “GIVE (AMOUNT) (CODE)”. The “give” codes are as follows:
· A = General Fund. In giving to the General Fund, some monies will be used for administrative needs. This category is used when, other than administration, you permit us to use the money for other causes as we see fit, e.g. wells, agriculture, medical, including Dr. Jeff’s salary, and pastoral support and conferences.
· B = Dr. Jeff Garzon. In giving to this category, money will be used to pay Dr. Jeff’s wages in the clinic of Kisalaya as well as selective medical equipment needs for the village nurses, e.g., stethoscopes, otoscopes, diabetic testing supplies, suture kits, hand-held Doppler screening equipment for pregnancies, etc. and also for selected serious medical treatments selected by the doctor or nurses.
· C = Pastors Support and Conferences. This is primarily used to support the pastors educationally through purchasing Bibles, providing writing equipment and pastoral training through pastoral conferences. This also, on occasion, provides some support for the community Conferences (revival type services).
· D = Misc. Income (Wells and Agriculture). This provides well kits, supplies to construct and maintain the wells, bean and rice seeds for planting where needed and other seeds for expansion of other crops for dietary health.
· E = Travel Team. If you are supporting someone who is going on a trip with SALT, you can place it in this category. We will receive a form from the traveler telling us as to for whom this gift is designated.
